Boric acid dervives from boron, an element that's typically found in minerals. The substance has been used for over 100 years to treat vaginal infections like yeast infections and bacterial vaginosis due to its anti-microbial and anti-fungal properties. Boric acid suppositories can help replenish normal vaginal acidity and balance the vaginal flora. It can also relieve symptoms like burning, itching, and irritation.
How do I use boric acid?
For active infections: Insert 1 suppository at night into the vagina for 5-7 days or as per your health practitioner’s advice
For maintenance: Insert 1-2 suppositories per week, or as per your health practitioners advice

Is there anyone that shouldn't use boric acid suppositories?

To combat this, some women prefer to insert the pessary with a water based lubricant to moisten the environment to allow the boric acid to fully dissolve.
What mg/size capsule should I pick?
